Zelda Ocarina Of Time on N64 - Return to Kakariko and Kokiri Village

Here you are back in Kakariko where many good surprises await you. Go without delay to the graveyard and take the magic bean, then break the crate on the high platform to get a heart piece. Then go back down and pull the tomb right next to the bean (1) and fall into it. Even though Dampé is dead, he is present and challenges you to a race. Follow him through the corridors, avoiding the flames and above all without losing him. If you reach the end, Dampé will give you a hookshot. Exit his tomb through the other entrance and play the Song of Time to get rid of the 2 large blue blocks blocking your way (look at the symbol on these blocks, you will have to play the song every time you see it). Go up the stairs to reach the windmill (2) and jump on the propeller then onto the right platform to get a heart piece. Then talk to the music box player in the windmill and take out your Ocarina to learn the Song of Storms (3).

Go back to Dampé's tomb and redo his race. If you finish in 1 minute or less (1), you will win a heart piece. If you see that you are going to take longer, wait to restart without having to go back through the windmill. Try not to follow his path when possible (in the large rooms and at the intersection where Link must climb, you can go straight). If you have trouble, you can come back later with the Longshot. You can now obtain the Biggoron Sword by completing a series of trades. During this quest you will visit many places. You can take the opportunity to pick up a lot of things, and in fact, pick them up even if you don't want the sword right away. Upon leaving the apothecary, go all the way to the top of the village and try to jump onto the roof (yes, it's possible! (2)). Go to the end of this roof and use the hookshot to reach the guy sitting on the opposite roof. Talk to him, he will give you a heart piece. As you go to meet Biggoron near Death Mountain Crater, you will come across a magic bean (if you remembered to plant it) which will lead you straight to a heart piece (3).

While going to get a frog from King Zora, before thawing him, go to Zora's Fountain and take the heart piece on the ice platform at the end (1). Even though Navi is pressing you to find out what happened to Saria, take a trip to Lake Hylia. There, use the magic bean to go to the fishing pond and catch a big fish (2). The owner will then give you the Golden Scale which will allow you to dive even deeper. Then go back to the lab and take the magic bean again. It starts by going up vertically. Jump onto the roof (3) and climb the ladder to get a heart piece.

an 18-pound fish, it still fights back.

Now climb down from the roof and enter the lab. Go into the water and dive to the bottom. Then talk to the scientist, he will give you a heart piece for having touched the bottom. Then go to the northwest of the field, under the tree where the marathon runner was resting and place a bomb, then jump into the hole. Dive to the bottom of the water to get a heart piece and come back out. Before finally returning to your village, take a trip to the ranch during the day. Talk to Malon about your horse so she can offer you an obstacle course. If you finish in less than 50 seconds, she will give you a cow that will be waiting for you at your house. If you play Epona's Song to cows and you have an empty bottle, they give milk, which is handy!

Now go to the Sacred Forest Meadow (see map). Passing through your village, you notice that it's invaded by wild beasts and Saria has disappeared. As for you, Mido accused you of killing the Deku Tree. Anyway, no one recognizes you. In the woods, you will meet Mido who is blocking your way. Play Saria's Song for him to pass (1). Once in the Lost Woods, Navi explains that you must use Z targeting to see what is happening in the corridors (2). To pass, you can lure the guards toward you and hide (3) then pass. The goal is to reach the clearing.

Besides hiding quickly after the guard's attack (1), there is another strategy that consists of killing the guard either from behind with the hookshot (2) or with the sword while hidden in the alcoves. Arrived almost at the end, you will find yourself face to face with a giant guard. Try to pass behind him while avoiding his attacks (3). You can kill him (60 rupees) with your sword. Go up the stairs, Sheik then teaches you the Minuet of Forest which will allow you to return to the clearing whenever you want (even as a child). Sheik disappears and you remain alone.

You must now continue the adventure by going to the Forest Temple using your Hookshot on the tree branch in the air. You can also retrieve my save file (1Ko) made with project64, which should be copied into the "Save" folder before launching the game.
