Zelda Ocarina Of Time on N64 - The Gerudo Training Ground

Before crossing the Haunted Wasteland, you can complete a series of trials that will allow you to obtain the Gerudo treasure. This treasure is located in the room across from the entrance, but you will first need to obtain 6 keys before going there. Start the training ground by going through the door on the right.

The first trial consists of defeating the Dinolfos and the Beamos within the given time. Start by throwing a bomb at the Beamos (1) to clear the way, then defeat the two lizards with your sword. Then take the small key and go through the next door.

You are now in a room full of lava. Go to the platform in front of you, then jump to the one on the left and play the Song of Time to make two blocks appear. Go press the button to the left of your platform (2) and return to it to jump onto the time blocks. Jump onto the rupee that was surrounded by fire and quickly use your Hookshot to latch onto the target at the end of the room. Go towards the closed door while collecting the two remaining rupees; the door will open, pass through it. Stand on the time blocks and play the Song of Time, then dive into the water with your Iron Boots on. Kill the shells at the bottom and use your Hookshot to collect the accessible rupees (3). Then put your Kokiri Boots back on and swim in circles around the water exit to obtain the last silver rupee. Take the small key and leave the room.

Go through the door opposite by climbing onto the time blocks (take the small key on your way). Collect the missiles and arrows from the two chests and go back out (Warning: do not spend your keys yet). Use your Hookshot to access the back door.

In this room where all the monsters are on fire, start by killing everyone to open the door you came from and to be left in peace. Next, take your Megaton Hammer and hit the bottom of the 3-cube totem, then the mini-totem right next to it. Press the floor button to be able to take the small key in the middle, then fire an arrow into the eye that was hidden behind the totem to open the door.

Behind the door is a large statue; jump onto the large circular platform surrounding it and draw your bow. This statue has 4 eyes that you must shoot (if you hit an eye, it turns red) to make a chest appear in the middle. You must not miss any, as the eyes turn off after a while. Go get the small key in the middle (wear your Hover Boots to be sure not to fall) and return to the beginning of the Training Ground using your Hookshot to leave the room.

Take the door to the left of the entrance and kill the Stalfos within the time limit to obtain the 6th small key, then return to the entrance.

If you have spent a key, you must continue along the path, collect the rupees within the time limit to pass the next room, and then use your Lens of Truth to discover a hole in the wall (accessible via the Hookshot) which will lead you to a key. If you have spent two keys, you will need to go to the Spirit Temple to find the Silver Gauntlets to be able to pull the stone blocking the path to the final key.

If you have lost health, you can play the Song of Storms between the two pillars in the middle of the room. There is also an eye that will make arrows and 5 rupees appear in chests. Take the door opposite the entrance then open the door on the left (don't get it wrong!). Climb the grating just to the left of the door to find a hidden small key (you pass through the ceiling). Go back down and follow the path to obtain arrows, rupees, and especially the Ice Arrow. Then leave the Training Ground and go talk to the Gerudo at the top of the tower next to the gate to be able to cross the desert.

The Haunted Wasteland

This desert is divided into 2 fairly short parts. In the first, you must follow the poles with red flags that form a path to a house. On the way, you will need to use your hookshot once (at the beginning by standing on the crate). You will also see a sign indicating the carpet merchant who will sell you bombchus for 200 rupees (don't get ripped off). Once at the small house where a skulltula is located, go up to the roof and read the inscription on the grave. Put on your Lens of Truth and follow the phantom without losing sight of it to arrive at a sort of oasis.

The Desert Colossus

Here you are in front of the Desert Colossus. To the left are a few palm trees; if you stand on the nearby stone and play the Song of Storms, the basin will fill with water and fairies will come out. To the northeast is a secret cave where you will meet a fairy by playing Zelda's Lullaby. She will teach you Nayru's Love. Then go into the temple under the colossus and come back out immediately to meet Sheik who will teach you the Requiem of Spirit. Play the Prelude of Light and go put the sword back to return to childhood, then play the Requiem of Spirit to find yourself in front of the Desert Colossus.

You must now continue the adventure upon entering the Spirit Temple to find the final medallion. Don't forget to plant a bean in front of the entrance. You can also retrieve my save file (1Ko) made with project64, which should be copied into the "Save" folder before launching the game.
