Zelda Ocarina Of Time on N64 - Goron Village

Before climbing Death Mountain, head back for a tour of Goron Village. In addition to the Skulltullas, you can collect a 30-bomb bag and a Piece of Heart. The bag is located on the floor where the wild Goron rolls around. If a bomb blast hits him near his sign (1), he will offer you a Big Bomb Bag. For the Piece of Heart, you must first light all the torches (2) by taking the first flame from Darunia's room. The giant urn will then start spinning, and you'll need to throw bombs inside (3) until a Piece of Heart pops out (the easiest way is likely to throw bombs from the first floor, at the level of the top of the urn). For your information, if you want to return, there is a shortcut connecting the Lost Woods and Goron Village (from the Lost Woods to the village, see the Lost Woods walkthrough; and from the village to the woods, just blow up the rocks in the corridor where Saria's music is heard). On your way out, if you go east, twice north, and then west and blow up the rock, you can carry more Deku Nuts by defeating one of the two Business Scrubs.

Now exit the village and start climbing Death Mountain. To pass the gap followed by a rock, you "simply" need to take a bomb and throw it at the right moment so that it explodes the block in mid-air (1). Then follow the path (there is a secret cave under the large rock a little further on). To avoid losing health, equip the Hylian Shield and protect yourself when rocks start falling (2). Advance a bit between each eruption. You will reach the foot of a climbable wall. There are 2 small platforms on it. Climb this wall, killing a Skullwalltulla at each platform (3) so they don't knock you back down to the bottom.

Once at the top, blow up the wall to the left of the crater entrance (1) and play music on the Triforce symbol. The Great Fairy of Power appears and teaches you the Spin Attack (2). Before leaving, you can find a Skulltula at the crater entrance inside the crate. Inside the crater, you also need to collect a Piece of Heart located in a small niche in the cliff to the left of the entrance (3). Drop down below the niche and climb into it to get it. Then exit and talk to the Owl, who will take you back to Kakariko Village.

Kakariko Village Play music

Kakariko Village

You will arrive at Kakariko Village on the roof of a house. Walk along the wall towards the graveyard and drop onto the balcony (1). Go through the small opening behind you and collect the Piece of Heart. At this point in the game, it's quite possible you have 20 Skulltullas. If so, go get the Stone of Agony (2) in the House of Skulltulla. Return to the graveyard and pull one of the graves at the back to reveal a hole (3). Drop inside and play the Sun's Song after killing the ReDead (you can also play the song to make it easier as it paralyzes the ReDead) to make a chest containing a Piece of Heart appear.

Now head to Gerudo Valley, located west of Hyrule Field. Take the chicken in front of the bridge (1) and jump into the void to the left of the bridge, aiming for the small platform below (2). Roll into the crate to obtain a Piece of Heart. Then dive and follow the river to find yourself in Lake Hylia. Exit Lake Hylia (to the north) and place a bomb between the 4 fences to make a hole (3).

Enter the hole and defeat the Business Scrub (1) so you can buy a Piece of Heart (buy it even if you think it's going to sell you a small heart). Then return to Gerudo Valley and dive to the right of the bridge guarded by the Gerudos (2). Climb onto the bank and take the ladder under the waterfall (3) to get another Piece of Heart. While you're there, remember to grab the Skulltulla on the bank.

Hyrule Castle Town Play music

Hyrule Castle Town

Now that you've collected everything, go to Hyrule Castle Town and participate in the "Bombchu Bowling" (next to the crazy buyer). By winning this game, you can win a Biggest Bomb Bag, Bombchus, and a Piece of Heart. All good stuff, but you might have trouble with the 2nd (1) and 3rd holes. For the latter, I advise you to stand a bit to the left and turn 45° to the left to get it. You'll need to play several times to get all these bonuses. Then exit the bowling alley and head to the Castle Grounds; go southeast by climbing the ivy. In the dead end, blow up a bomb and enter the small passage. Play Zelda's Lullaby on the symbol in front of the fountain and the fairy will teach you how to cast Din's Fire.

You must now continue the adventure. You can also retrieve my save file (1Ko) made with project64, which should be copied into the "Save" folder before launching the game.
